We are traya

Traya (the number three in Sanskrit) has profound significance in Hinduism and can be found in the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, the gunas, the doshas, the koshas, the states of consciousness, the Vedas, the primordial sounds of the universe; Aum…the list goes on.

This concept, alongside the ancient Indian practices of meditation, ayurveda and yoga, has inspired our community to strive for balance and completeness in mind, body and breath (spirit).

Today, traya is a content hub specialising in the Indian spiritual sciences.

Our long-term vision for traya is to become an all-in-one space for individuals to learn, practice and leverage the power of community to grow.

Meet the Founder

I was lucky enough to be born into a culture where the words pranayama and asana were as commonplace as the words food and sleep, so, as and when my life demanded it I was able to pick up these pieces of wisdom and heal myself.

At age thirty-three (yes, the irony isn’t lost on me), I came to the realisation that I had benefited from the knowledge passed down to me without ever returning the favour, even to those around me that needed it the most.

Traya was born with the ambition of helping friends and family, but my hope is that this website and community grow such that there are generations of seekers all helping each other to become the happiest, healthiest versions of themselves.

By the way, I’m also a certified Ayurvedic Lifestyle and Nutrition Consultant and can provide advice on holistic health and nutrition. If you’d like to find out what that entails, please reach out via email on suriyasmruthi@gmail.com.
